Vero Cells and Viral Titer Quantification
Vero cells are commonly used to quantify viral titers via plaque assays and cytopathic effect (CPE) observations. Their consistent response to viral infection allows accurate measurement of viral load, essential in virology labs. HepG2 cells, being liver-specific, are not suitable for such broad-spectrum virological applications. Vero cells remain vital for viral quantification protocols in research and diagnostics.
